Do you want to make a difference? Näsbyparksskolan is currently looking for an engaged substitute special education teacher with experience and competence in grades 7–9.

About the job

Näsbyparksskolan is now seeking an experienced and engaged substitute special education teacher – preferably with specific competence in working with grades 7–9. You will become an important part of the school's student health services and the special educational team. As a special education teacher with us, you will drive and develop teaching together with students, colleagues, and school management. You work actively for a school where everyone is included in the activities.

The principal's area of Näsbyparksskolan consists of four schools: Norskolan (grades F–3), Slottsparksskolan (grades F–3), Näsbypark Resource School (grades 4–9), and Näsbyparksskolan (grades 4–9). Your placement will be at Näsbyparksskolan, where you will work closely with school management, student health services, teachers, and other support resources. The school is beautifully located with proximity to both the sea and green areas. There are good communication options by bus or Roslagsbanan (railway), both options just a stone's throw away.

Who are you?

You will be part of an engaged special educational team and have an active role in the school's student health team. To succeed in the role of special education teacher with us, we believe you:

  • Are a qualified teacher for primary school, preferably for grades 7–9.
  • Are well-versed in regulatory documents related to teaching and the special educational mandate within schools.
  • Have experience working as a special education teacher in primary school, preferably at the lower secondary level.
  • Are confident in your professional role and have a good ability and willingness to switch between work at the individual, group, and organizational levels.
  • Have experience leading small group instruction, working individually with students, and mentoring colleagues on issues such as disruptive behavior, school difficulties, as well as didactic and pedagogical methods for successful teaching.
  • Are a skilled communicator who builds good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
  • Have strong analytical skills to identify causes of challenges and propose interventions at different levels, including participating in the implementation of interventions when necessary.
  • Actively contribute to the school's development work and the interdisciplinary collaboration within student health services.
  • Understand and have experience working in a politically governed organization with its requirements for documentation, structure, and cooperation.

As a person, you are structured, well-planned, and inspiring. You are team-oriented and interested in contributing to the professional development of the operations. You have the ability to plan and organize both your own work and others' work in an effective way, creating a climate of trust by both listening and sharing your experiences. You are relationship-oriented and find it easy to build good relationships with students, staff, and guardians.
